Sadly, today is the last day for the Magical Musings collection by Lac Attack. Closing with The Horcrux of It...
A Horcrux is very hard to explain. It is a dark and extremely powerful object in which a dark wizard or witch places part of their soul in. A Horcrux was first really mentioned in the sixth book, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. They play the biggest role in the books than anything, and the last book centers around them. The only way to make a Horcux is to kill another human. Since 'killing rips the soul', this is the only way to make one. It is the most horrible thing one can do to oneself and the body greatly suffers for it. Few wizards were known to actually succeed in making one, and one of those wizards happens to be Lord Voldemort. The evil wizard that Harry fights throughout the series. They are so horrible that, in the wizarding world, you will find nothing written on them. Nothing on how to make one. Anything. Because you detach part of your soul and encapsulate it inside of an object, you cannot die. Unless the said object was destroyed. Lord Voldemort actually made seven Horcruxes. The only way to destroy a Horcrux is through basilisk venom or Feindfyre ( a powerful fire in the form of a curse.). I could go on about Horcruxes all day, but that would reveal some spoilers.
The Horcrux of It... sits in a darker base and has some larger hexes in green and smaller ones in bronze and tealish green. I layered this over OPI Here Today...Aragon Tomorrow. It was a great combination! The Horcrux of It.. went on smoothly and evenly. This is a perfect polish to represent Horcruxes. The darkness of it is perfect, especially for my tiny nails!
How did you guys like this one? Or more importantly...how did you like this collection? I happened to love it! Lac Attack and the blogger Glitta Gloves collaborated to make this collection and they did a spectacular job! All of the colors matched perfectly with their book counterparts. And the variety of different kinds of polish, from flakies to milky to glitter toppers, was phenomenal as well. I enjoyed swatching and wearing every single one of these polishes.
You can find Lac Attack polishes here.
